THE RABBIT HOLE
♾️ Cricket Analogy in Mathematical Research (1930)
This is a research paper by famous mathematicians G.H. Hardy and J.E.Littlewood published in 1930. Although the article has nothing to do with cricket, they use the batting average analogy to explain the basic concept.
Does the G.H.Hardy ring a bell? See below…

If you guessed it right, 2 handed clap for you. If not G.H. Hardy was an English mathematician, known for his achievements in number theory and mathematical analysis. In biology, he is known for the Hardy–Weinberg principle, a basic principle of population genetics.
Hardy was also the mentor of Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. If you haven’t watched The Man Who Knew Infinity grab your popcorn - you will love it. Promise!
In fact, 10 years back there was an article published by ESPNCricinfo on Hardy’s love for Cricket - which possibly tells you about why he referenced Cricket in the above cited research paper.

⌛Only 100 Days to go for T20 World Cup in America
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday launched the 2024 T20 World Cup’s official campaign film ‘Out of this World’ to mark the official beginning of the 100-day countdown for the tournament.
🤝Coca Cola enters in partnership with Cricket Canada
Cricket Canada and Coca-Cola Canada today announced that both groups have entered into a new partnership that will see Coca-Cola become the official beverage sponsor – and BODYARMOR the Official Sports Drink – of Cricket Canada. This agreement marks a significant milestone in the overall growth and development of cricket in the country.
As part of the sponsorship, Coca-Cola brands will be prominently featured on the official kits and training gear for Canada’s National Team Programs. The collaboration provides Coca-Cola with an exciting new platform to connect with Canada’s rapidly growing cricket community.
The partnership extends beyond the cricket pitch, as both organizations explore collaborative initiatives and programs to further enhance the sport’s accessibility, popularity and engagement with players and fans across the country.
This is amazing news for Cricket Canada to help grow the game in North America.
FOR THE ROMANTIC
💭Dreams do come true….
It started when seven years ago came across this story.
If there is one thing Sachin can do as the God of Cricket, is keep being the ambassador of the game by meeting genuine cricket fans like Amir Hussain Lone.
To Amir, the real hero. Keep inspiring!
It was a pleasure meeting you.
