Fresh Fast Bowlers lead the charge with wickets as India defends 161

India prevailed in a low-scoring thriller thanks to late runs from Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel, and exceptional seam bowling from an attack missing Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Mohammed Shami. The Wankhede pitch was anything but the batting paradise it usually is in T20 cricket: there was grip for spinners, which Sri Lanka used well before the new ball seamed around for India's quicks.

Can Umran Malik clock the 100 MPH?

He pretty much bowled the Fastest Ball by an Indian in Limited Over Cricket. The good news is he seems to have improved his line and length as well. Let's hope he has a great IPL this year as well. Then he will be there in the Indian team at least in ODI/T20. Let us not hurry him in tests until he has played Ranji. Plus not sure as express quick he can handle all formats.

Bad light and rain end the day with Australia two down

Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja hit half-centuries for Australia on a truncated day one before Anrich Nortje helped South Africa claw back into the third Test at a gloomy SCG. After captain Pat Cummins won a crucial toss and elected to bat on a dry surface, Australia reached stumps at 147 for 2 with Khawaja unbeaten on 54 and Steven Smith yet to face a delivery.

Pakistan dominate session with runs from Shakeel and Sarfaraz

Eight sessions into the Test, the Karachi pitch continued to be flat and lifeless, as Pakistan posted 113 runs at more than four an over post-lunch on the third day. Amidst that, Saud Shakeel got to his maiden Test hundred while Sarfaraz Ahmed hit an entertaining 78 to keep piling runs on his comeback.

BCCI is set to get Pant airlifted to Mumbai

Rishabh Pant is being airlifted from Dehradun to Mumbai because one of the two ligament tears in his knee needs immediate intervention. In Mumbai, Pant will be under the care of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, who has previously worked with Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and also with Olympics athletes. Pardiwala is Head - of the Centre for Sports Medicine, and Director - of Arthroscopy & Shoulder Service at Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri, a western suburb of the city.

Nepal T20 in disarray as tournament organizer flees the country

As players initially refused to take the field on Tuesday morning after their wages weren’t paid, news filtered through that organizers Seven 3 Sports had fled to India, cutting off contact with the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and the tournament’s domestic production team.

Seven 3 Sports founder Jatin Ahluwalia and others involved in the company had not been seen since the weekend, as officials and broadcasters at the tournament demanded their agreed salary. USA Cricket that is holding the MLC better pull their socks up if they do not want this thing to happen
